How We Help
Our mission is simple, to remove financial barriers so every child has access to athletics, leadership development, and the sense of belonging that comes from being part of a team.
We believe sports teach the lifelong skills of resilience, teamwork, accountability, and confidence. Ultimately, many young athletes are forced to step away due to equipment costs, league fees, and travel expenses.
The LASMO Foundation helps ensure that no child is left on the sidelines by providing:

Honoring the Legacy
of Lee Oresman
The LASMO Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created in honor of Lee Oresman, a lifelong athlete and devoted supporter of youth sports. Lee’s passion for athletics extended far beyond his own achievements—he spent his final years actively encouraging, mentoring, and supporting the athletic journeys of his daughters and granddaughters. His legacy lives on through the LASMO Foundation, which is dedicated to alleviating the financial burden of athletic fees for youth under 18 across Rhode Island. By removing barriers to participation, the Foundation ensures that every young athlete has the opportunity to compete, grow, and thrive—just as Lee believed they should.
